Jio Electric Scooter: Smart, Affordable, and Made for India
Reliance Jio, known for revolutionizing the telecom and broadband sector, is now gearing up to make a splash in the electric vehicle market with its upcoming Jio Electric Scooter. Though the official launch date hasn’t been confirmed yet, leaks and industry buzz suggest that the Jio scooter will be an affordable, tech-savvy EV designed specifically for the Indian middle-class market. It’s expected to be priced around ₹55,000 to ₹70,000, making it one of the most budget-friendly electric scooters in the country.
Powerful Yet Efficient Performance
The Jio scooter is likely to be powered by a lithium-ion battery pack offering a range of 60 to 80 km on a single charge, which is ideal for daily urban commutes. It is expected to have a hub motor with 250W to 600W output, capable of achieving a top speed of 45-60 kmph. The scooter will also support fast charging, allowing the battery to reach 80% in just about 2 hours, which is perfect for people on the go.
Smart Features and Connectivity
Since this is a Jio-backed product, expect it to be loaded with smart features. The scooter may come with 4G connectivity, GPS tracking, anti-theft alerts, and integration with a Jio Smart App to monitor performance, locate charging stations, and even control some functions remotely. It’s also likely to include a digital dashboard, keyless start, Bluetooth connectivity, and smart regenerative braking.
